Richard
AKA Titch, One Eclectic DJ and in previous incarnations
Halfway Jackson, Nova Pillbeam's Threesome and Stanley TwoBricks.
He has also worked with Apes In Control, Felcher Club, Tonka
Sound System and Horace X as composer, guitarist,
DJ, producer.
 Richard's
formative years were spent playing guitar and sound collage
on various tape machines in punk, funk, reggae, rock and
fusion bands from the late 70s to the late 80s.
He started to DJ originally with Tonka Sound System at acid
house parties in Cambridge, London and then throughout the
UK and Europe in clubs, raves and on radio. He also gained
experience in sound production as a sound technician in
theaters, live venues and recording studios in the UK and
on the continent.
In '91 Richard's early solo compositions were brought to
the attention of Russell Maliphant and subsequently they
collaborated on their first solo projects together.
A
self styled self taught sound specific ambiance guru currently
living on the flatlands of England, he has kept one finger
in the post modern dance pie since the early 1990s, composing
titles including Evolving Paradigm, Relative
Shift,
Critical
Mass, Trio,
Torsion,
and Naked,
for the acclaimed international companies: Russell Maliphant
Company, Ricochet Dance Company, The Batsheva Ensemble,
Lyon Opera Ballet and the Ballet
Boyz.
 Unique
and culturally fluent across the ever widening range of
musical forms, Richard is broadening contemporary tastes
by forging pathways to the previously unheard.
This has endeared him to the cutting edge of dance, film
and television production in a way that will guarantee him
a place as a known innovator, capable of working to any
remit requiring more than a standard response.
He
now owns his own company, English Audio Refinery, about
which he says, 'This century is only just beginning
for those with an EAR for the new and inspiring.'

Established in 2002, the company was created primarily to
compose audio for visuals, from choreography and short films,
to adverts, animation and performance arts.
Its objectives
are to bring the experiences alive for all those involved
in the projects and their audiences.
Richard has released two solo albums: "In One EAR"
and "Limited to two" containing mainly
compositions for contemporary dance performances or short
films. His latest album "Balkan Hoodoo"
was a collaboration with Serbian composer Igor Lecic.
Richard
is currently working on his third solo album.
